May 26, 2026 Participated in an Effort to Eradicate the Large-Flowered Coreopsis!
In collaboration with Komaki City, Komaki City Natural Environment Watchers (citizens registered with the city through an open application), and neighboring companies, we carried out an eradication effort for the invasive alien species, Coreopsis lanceolata. A total of 99 people, including our employees, participated and removed approximately 140 kg of the plant.

Forty-five new employees from our group conducted a cleanup activity at the foot of Mt. Komaki, located near the Komaki Plant. March 11, 2026 We Co-sponsored a Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Concert!
On March 11th, the Niterra Hall (Nagoya City) hosted a self-organized event called the 'Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Concert', we co-sponsored this event with the Naka Police Station, Naka Fire Station, and Naka Ward Office. This event aimed to provide attendees with a solid understanding of disaster prevention through lectures and simple drills on how to protect themselves in emergencies, all while enjoying a music concert. This year marks the 15th year of the Great East Japan Earthquake, and with increased awareness of disaster prevention, approximately 1,100 people attended (an increase of 300 from the previous year).

November 01, 2025 Tree Planting Experience in Takayama City!
On November 1, a group of 29 volunteer employees, recruited in collaboration with the labor union, participated in a tree-planting experience in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture. This initiative aims to deepen understanding of the vital role forests play—not only in absorbing carbon dioxide to mitigate global warming but also in conserving biodiversity by providing habitats for diverse species.
In this third session, the participants received a lecture on trees and forests from Kasahara Lumber Co., Ltd. and then planted a total of 220 Japanese Konara and Mizunara oak trees. Although it rained at times during the activity, everyone worked enthusiastically and with great effort.

On Saturday, October 25, we held a joint cleanup with the NPO HAPPY PLANET at Nishinokuchi Beach in Tokoname, Aichi. A total of 17 people, including employee volunteers, collected approximately 47 kg of waste—such as plastic bottles, cans, sneakers, sandals, tires, and syringes.

On Saturday, June 14, we held a joint cleanup with the NPO HAPPY PLANET. With the scope of the activity reduced due to rain, 11 people, including employee volunteers, worked for about 20 minutes near Hisaya-odori Park in front of the head office. They collected approximately 11 kg of trash, including cigarette butts, plastic bottles, an umbrella, and a child's shoe.
May 31, 2025 Beach cleanup in Tokoname City
On Saturday, May 31, employee volunteers participated in a beach cleanup in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture. This event was held jointly by a Local non-profit organization, Ohno Community, NPO Happy Planet, and Niterra Co., Ltd., with the cooperation of Tokoname City. Despite the unfortunate rain on the day, a total of 27 people, including employees of our group, participated. Despite shortening the activity time to 20 minutes, we managed to collect a total of 40 kg of various types of garbage, including fireworks, watermelon rinds, plastic wrapping paper, as well as mobile phones and baseballs.

On Saturday, April 26, we held a joint cleanup with the NPO HAPPY PLANET along the Shonai River riverbed. In about an hour, 34 people, including employee volunteers, collected 171 kg of trash, such as empty cans, plastic bottles, a television, a bicycle, and a golf bag.

On Saturday, March 29, we held a joint cleanup with the NPO HAPPY PLANET. In about an hour, 29 people, including employee volunteers, collected about 35 kg of trash—such as plastic bottles, cigarette butts, umbrellas, a suitcase, and a vacuum cleaner—in the area from Hisaya-odori Park in front of our head office to Yaba Park.
March 11, 2025 Co-sponsor of an Evacuation Drill Concert
On March 11th, the Niterra Hall (Nagoya City) hosted a self-organized event called the 'Evacuation Drill Concert, we co-sponsored this event with the Naka Police Station, Naka Fire Station, and Naka Ward Office. This event aimed to provide attendees with a solid understanding of disaster prevention through lectures and simple drills on how to protect themselves in emergencies, all while enjoying a music concert. This was the ninth iteration of the event, and this time, the name of the event was changed from 'Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Concert' to 'Evacuation Drill Concert.' The content was also revised to include not only the usual ShakeOut drill but also an evacuation drill where attendees followed staff instructions to evacuate the hall based on an Emergency Earthquake Early Warning. Due to increased awareness of disaster prevention, approximately 800 people attended the concert, enjoying performances by the Aichi Prefectural Police Band and the Pokka Lemon Fire Department Music Band, while also learning about disaster prevention and mitigation.

March 09, 2025 Volunteer at Marathon Festival Nagoya Aichi 2025
On March 9th, we volunteered to supply water at the Nagoya Women's Marathon and Nagoya City Marathon of the Marathon Festival Nagoya-Aichi 2025, which we supported as a Gold Sponsor. This year, 14 individuals, including our group employees and former employees, joined the volunteer activities. Although the weather was sunny and the temperature rose, strong winds were blowing, so we took care to prevent cups from being blown away while working. We provided water to the runners and cheered them on while feeling the energy from the runners up close.
March 07, 2025 Hazard Simulation Training Held for High School Students
We held a "Hazard Awareness Hands-on Training" at Kasugai High School of Technology and Engineering. This initiative aims to cultivate hazard sensitivity and risk prediction skills among local students studying industrial trades, particularly in factory practicums. Held for the second time, following last year's program, this training took place over three days from Wednesday, March 5th to Friday, March 7th, with 197 first-year students participating. The students learned about safety through lectures on hazardous areas in factory work and preventive measures, as well as hands-on training using hazard simulation machines. The results of post-training questionnaires and confirmation tests confirmed an improvement in the students' safety awareness.

February 15, 2025 City Cleanup in the Vicinity of the Head Office
On Saturday, February 15, we held a joint trash pickup activity with the NPO HAPPY PLANET. Blessed with clear skies and warm sunshine,a total of 20 people, including employee volunteers collected trash from Hisaya-odori Park in front of the head office to Yaba Park. In about an hour's work, we collected about 36 kg of trash, including cigarette butts, beverage cans, broken umbrellas, tires, shovels, and more.

On Saturday, January 25, we held the first trash pickup activity of 2025 jointly with the NPO HAPPY PLANET. Blessed with clear skies and warm sunshine, a total of 21 people, including employee volunteers collected trash from Hisaya-odori Park in front of the head office to Yaba Park. On January 9, we donated mug bottles to the Aichi Prefecture Federation of Mothers, Children, and Widows Welfare Association. The Aichi Prefecture Federation of Mothers, Children, and Widows Welfare is a social welfare corporation that operates maternal and child living support facilities and the Aichi Maternal, Child, and Paternal Welfare Center. They provide daily necessities and food to single-parent families in Aichi Prefecture, and the mug bottles we donated will be used in the same way.

December 23, 2024 Donation of Christmas Presents
On December 23, we donated mug bottles and snacks to the Aichi Prefecture Support Center for Disaster Victims and the NPO Japan Ukraine Cultural Association. The Aichi Support Center for Disaster Victims provides daily necessities and food to those who were evacuated to Aichi Prefecture after the Great East Japan Earthquake, and the NPO Japan Ukraine Cultural Association provides necessities and food to those who fled war-torn Ukraine and were evacuated to Aichi Prefecture. The donated items will be used as Christmas presents for the children of the evacuees through both organizations.
December 21, 2024 City Cleanup in the Vicinity of the Head Office
On Saturday, December 21, we held the final trash pickup activity of 2024 jointly with NPO HAPPY PLANET. Under fine weather, a total of 20 people, including employee volunteers, collected trash from Hisaya-odori Park in front of the head office to the Sakae area. During the one-hour activity, they collected approximately 32 kg of trash, including cigarette butts, PET bottles, rice cookers, necklaces, and a large number of spray cans.
November 30, 2024City Cleanup in the Vicinity of the Head Office
On Saturday, November 30, we held a joint trash pickup activity with NPO HAPPY PLANET. Twenty-four volunteers, including our employee volunteers, participated in the cleanup, and cleaned from Hisaya-odori Park in front of the head office to the Sakae area. It took about one hour to collect trash. It was raining just before the start of the activity, but the weather gradually recovered during the activity time. It was noticeable that many umbrellas were discarded. In addition, cigarette butts, PET bottles, and larger items such as golf clubs and rain boots were also noticeable, and in the end, about 44 kg of trash was collected!
October 30, 2024Acceptance of Junior High School Students for Company Visits
On October 30, we hosted a visit by five students from Showa Gakuin Junior High School, a private school, at our Venture Lab Tokyo. On the day of the visit, we introduced the company, our products, and our group in our showroom. In addition to explaining about our mainstay products, “spark plugs” and “oxygen sensors,” the students deepened their understanding of the Group's sustainability activities. In addition, through interaction with our employees, visitors were able to hear firsthand about our efforts as students, our current operations, and our work style. During the Q&A session, the participants asked questions such as “Why did you decide to join the company?” and “What are the things you should work on during your school days? The opportunity to interact with junior high school students is usually limited, so this was a very meaningful time for us as well.

On Saturday, October 26, employee volunteers cleaned up the beach in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture. This event was jointly organized by NPO HAPPY PLANET and Niterra, with the cooperation of the Tokoname City, and a total of 16 people, including our employees, participated. Under cloudy, neither hot nor cold weather, we collected 58.5 kg of trash, including broken skateboards and business bags, in addition to plastic packaging for snacks and lunch boxes and plastic bottle caps in about one hour of activity.

In order to promote international exchange and develop human resources who will be responsible for friendly relations between Japan and other countries, we established the Niterra scholarship fund for overseas students to provide scholarships to international students from all over the world. In fiscal 2024, we newly awarded scholarships to nine people attending universities and graduate schools in Aichi Prefecture.
October 20, 2024Tree Planting Experience in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture
The Niterra Group conducted a tree-planting experience in Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, together with eight volunteers who were recruited from within the company. This was the second time that we have participated in this activity to deepen understanding that forests not only absorb carbon dioxide and reduce global warming, but also play an important role in preserving biodiversity by providing a home for a wide variety of living creatures.
In the first planting in 2022, 150 Quercus serrata trees were planted, but only about 60% of the saplings were growing well due to snowfall and feeding damage by deer or other animals. This time, we planted a new tree species on land adjacent to the first afforestation site. After a lecture on forest conservation by Kasahara Lumber Co. Ltd. Although it was a chilly day, all participants worked up a sweat as they planted trees enthusiastically.

October 13, 2024 Co-sponsorship of Ningyo Joruri “Bunraku”
On October 13, we co-hosted a Bunraku, a traditional Japanese puppet show, with the Nagoya City Cultural Promotion Agency at the Niterra HALL (Nagoya City). “Bunraku” is one of Japan's representative traditional performing arts, a comprehensive art form that combines tayu, shamisen, and puppets. The tayu narrates the story, the shamisen player plays the shamisen, and the three puppeteers perform a complex drama. The performer gave easy-to-understand explanations of the plot, and electronic subtitles were placed on the stage to make the performance more enjoyable for first-time viewers. The audience enjoyed the traditional performing arts with great interest.

On Saturday, September 28, employee volunteers picked up trash from Hisaya-odori Park in front of the head office to Sakae area. This activity was a joint event of NPO HAPPY PLANET and our company. A total of 15 people, including employee volunteers, participated in the activity, which took about one hour. Due to the extremely hot weather, the event was held in the evening again this month, as it was last month. We collected about 16 kg of trash, including cigarettes, plastic bottles, food containers, eyeglasses, DVD sets, and other discarded items.
August 24, 2024 City Cleanup in the Vicinity of the Head Office
On Saturday, August 24, employee volunteers picked up trash from Hisaya-odori Park in front of the head office to Yaba Park. This activity was a joint event with NPO HAPPY PLANET and our company.
A total of 18 people, including employee volunteers, participated in the activity, which took about one hour. Normally, the activity is held in the morning, but due to the extremely hot weather, it was held in the evening this time. Many items such as cigarettes, plastic bottles, umbrellas, etc. were discarded, and including large items such as vacuum cleaners, the total amount of trash collected was approximately 35kg!

The 24 elementary school students who participated in the event seemed nervous at first, but once they began their experience, they read the announcement script with confidence, posed on stage, and enjoyed their roles. In the second half of the tour, the participants rode the seri, stage elevator, down into the abyss and observed the stage mechanisms and equipment, including the gold folding screen and the grand piano. The participants seemed very interested in the tour.

August 03, 2024 Holding a Clothing Giveaway
On August 3, a Clothing Giveaway was held during the “Kanayama Festival” held in the vicinity of the Niterra HALL in Nagoya. This event, which began in 2023, collects clothing no longer worn by employees due to out-of-size or other reasons and offers it free of charge at the venue of children's events. We were able to contribute to the reuse of clothing by having visitors take in mainly children's clothing.
July 16, 2024 Acceptance of Junior High School Students for Company Visits
On July 16, we hosted a company visit by junior high school students at our Venture Lab Tokyo.
Nine students (Five in the morning and four in the afternoon) from Furendo Gakuen Junior High School visited our company and we introduced our company and products in the showroom, gave them an overview of our group, our main product “Spark Plug” and “Regional CCU Project” which aims to realize a Circular Economy. We also introduced our group's activities related to sustainability, as well as “how we work” and “what we do now” by our female employees, who actively asked questions during the Q&A session. It was a meaningful time for us to interact with junior high school students, with whom we do not usually have the opportunity to interact.
July 05, 2024 Start of the Summer Edition of the IoT Smart Trash Can “SmaGO”
We support the IoT smart trash bins "SmaGO" installed along Omotesando in Tokyo and in Hisaya-odori Park near our headquarters (Nagoya City). Starting this July, a new design summer edition has started. With a new look, we will continue to create new value for society and aim to realize a sustainable society and a society that mutually recognizes diversity.
In addition, in this summer edition, following the spring edition, in addition to Omotesando, Hisaya-odori Park also uses a design that combines art drawn by Heralbony contract artists.
What SmaGo is: It is an IoT smart trash can that is powered by solar power and does not require a power source. It has a function that automatically compresses garbage to about 1/5 when it accumulates, and can hold up to about 600 liters of garbage, reducing the number of times garbage is collected without overflowing. In addition, the communication function allows garbage accumulation to be managed and analyzed in real time on the cloud, enabling efficient garbage collection, which is expected to reduce collection costs and CO2 emissions associated with collection work.

July 01, 2024 Donation of Our Product "SUMIKAZE"
On June 28, we donated five units of our product "SUMIKAZE" to the City of Nagoya. The "SUMIKAZE" is an ozone generator that uses our plasma technology to generate ozone, which controls bacteria, viruses, and odors. While controlling bacteria, viruses, and odors, it provides a "safe and secure space" that does not affect the human body.

Jun 22, 2024 We Cleaned the City Near the Headquarters!
On Saturday, June 22, employee volunteers picked up trash from Hisaya-Odori Park in front of our headquarters to Shirakawa Park in Fushimi. This activity was a joint event between HAPPY PLANET, an NPO, and our company.
A total of 15 people, including volunteers from outside the company, participated in the activity, which took about one hour. Cigarettes, plastic bottles, and other trash were discarded along the roadside. Including extension cords and large parts for vehicles, the total amount of trash collected was approximately 79.1 kg!
Jun 11, 2024 Hazard Simulation Training Held for High School Students
We held an "In-Company Safety Training (Hands-on Hazard Simulation)" for students of Komaki Technical High School at our Komaki Plant. This program was held for five days from June 5 (Wed.) to 11 (Tue.), and 201 first-year students learned about safety through classroom lectures on hazardous areas and preventive measures in factory operations, and hands-on practice using a hazard simulator. May 25, 2024 Beach Cleanup in Tokoname City
On Saturday, May 25, employee volunteers cleaned up the beach in Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture. This event was jointly organized by Ono Community, NPO HAPPY PLANET, and Niterra with the cooperation of the Tokoname City, and a total of 31 people, including our employees and their families participated. On the day of the event, under clear skies, we collected 125 kg of trash, including empty cans and PET bottles, as well as cameras, hoses, beer cases, and other items in about an hour's activity.

On Saturday, April 27th, employee volunteers picked up trash from Hisaya-odori Park in front of the head office to Shirakawa Park in Fushimi. This activity is a joint event between the NPO HAPPY PLANET and our company.
A total of 17 people, including volunteers from outside the company, participated on the day of the event, and the activity took approximately one hour. There was a lot of trash such as cigarettes and plastic bottles, and it was piled up in areas where there were no trash cans. The amount of garbage collected was approximately 48.2 kg!

March 11, 2024We co-sponsored a Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Concert!
On March 11th, at the Niterra Hall (Nagoya City), we co-hosted the”Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Concert'', an independent project of the Niterra Hall, along with Naka Police Station, Naka Fire Department, and Naka Ward Office. The purpose of this event is to provide attendees with a thorough knowledge of disaster prevention through lectures and simple training while enjoying a music concert. This year, the 8th time in total, the event was filled to capacity with approximately 1,500 people attending, reflecting the growing awareness of disaster prevention. In addition to enjoying performances and performances by the Aichi Prefectural Police Band and the Pokkalemon Fire Band, the participants also learned about disaster prevention and mitigation through a variety of content, including shake-out drills and a dark hall experience.

On Saturday, December 23rd, employee volunteers picked up trash from Hisaya Odori Park in front of the head office to Shirakawa Park in Fushimi. This activity is a joint event between the NPO HAPPY PLANET and our company, and was held for the fifth time this year.
A total of 17 people, including volunteers from outside the company and children, participated on the day, and the activity lasted about an hour. In addition to cigarettes, cans, plastic bottles, and plastic umbrellas, large pieces of garbage such as car batteries were also discarded, and the collected garbage weighed approximately 45 kg!
November 24, 2023We Confirmed the Aftermath of Tree Planting in Hida Takayama
In the fall of 2022, employees and their families planted 150 young Quercus oak trees.
One year has passed since then, and when we checked the growth situation on-site, we found that wild animals such as wild boars and serows were causing damage (eating buds, destroying the plantation area, etc.). Only a little more than half of the 150 Quercus trees were growing safely.
In the future, we will strengthen measures against damage from animals and protect the remaining Quercus oaks so that they can grow smoothly.

From November 3rd (Friday) to November 5th (Sunday), We cooperated the Nagoya performance of “Dinosaur Lab! King of Hunters from DINO-A-LIVE “.
"Dinosaur Lab!" is an edutainment (education + entertainment) where you can learn about living things, nature, and the earth through encounters with living dinosaurs. We also cooperated to support the learning of the children who will lead the next generation.

October 15, 2023We Held an Environmental Workshop!
On October 15(Sun), at the Global Center in the Aichi Expo Memorial Park (Morikoro Park), we held an environmental workshop for our employees and their families.
This time, with the cooperation of "DIY-BUCHI", which holds many lectures and workshops on the theme of sustainability, the participants listened to a lecture on the situation of abandoned bamboo forests, which are said to be damaged by bamboo, and how to use bamboo sustainably. After that, they made bamboo plates and cups using the wood from the forest.

On Saturday, August 26th, employee volunteers picked up trash from Hisaya-odori Park in front of the head office to the Nishiki area in Sakae.
This activity is a joint event between the NPO HAPPY PLANET and our company, and was held for the third time this year.
Despite the intense heat, a total of 23 people, including children, participated on the day.

On Friday, August 18, we co-sponsored the “Let's be a Theater Staff” (formerly known as “Backstage Tour”) at the NTK HALL. This fifth time, the content was changed from the previous backstage tours. The 24 elementary school students who participated enjoyed the two-hour event by operating the sound and lighting equipment, making announcements, and seriously engaging in the production as if they were on stage, experiencing equipment they would not normally be able to see or touch.

On August 6, we held a flea market at the "Kanayama Festival" held near the Niterra HALL in Nagoya, and donated clothing collected from our employees that they no longer wore due to sizing or other reasons, free of charge.

July 12, 2023 Hazard Simulation Training Held for High School Students
For five days between July 4th and 12th, an "In-Company Safety Training (Hazard Simulation Training)" was held at the Komaki Plant for 171 students from Aichi Prefectural Komaki Technical High School with the aim of improving their risk sensitivity and risk prediction abilities during their factory training. In addition to learning about dangerous spots and preventive measures in the classroom, the students learned the importance of safety through practical training using a danger simulation machine. As a result of the questionnaire and confirmation test after the training, we confirmed that the students' safety awareness had improved and that they recognized the importance of safety checks and measures before work.

June 23, 2023 Hazard Simulation Training Held for High School Students
A "Hazard Simulation Training" was held for students at Aichi Prefectural Kasugai High School of Technology and Engineering. The purpose of this training is to increase students' sensitivity to dangers during factory training and to develop their ability to predict dangers. The training took place over three days from June 21st (Wed) to 23rd (Fri), and 177 first-year students participated. The students deepened their understanding of safety through lectures on accident cases in the manufacturing industry and factory safety measures, as well as practical training using danger simulation machines. The results of the questionnaire and confirmation test conducted after the practical training confirmed that the students' awareness of safety had improved.

The Aichi Disaster Victims Support Center is providing daily necessities and food to people who have evacuated to Aichi Prefecture due to the Great East Japan Earthquake, and the NPO Japanese Ukrainian Culture Association is providing daily necessities and food to people who have been evacuated to Aichi Prefecture from Ukraine.The reusable bags we provided will be used for bringing these supplies home.

April 19, 2023Cleaning activities around the Komaki factory
Since 2021, we have been conducting cleaning activities centered around the Komaki Plant, the company area, and the sidewalks and gutters in nearby areas. This cleaning activity is jointly carried out once a month by NGK SPARK PLUG and group companies Ceramic Sensor and NGK SPARK PLUG Alpha Service in order to contribute to the local community.
On April 19th, seven people participated and collected 1.8 kg of trash, including cigarette butts, empty drink cans, plastic bottles, and metal scraps.
On May 17th, five people participated and collected 0.6 kg of trash, including empty cigarette boxes, butts, plastic bottles, glass pieces, and CD discs.
On June 20th, seven people participated and collected 0.4 kg of trash, including numerous cigarette butts, empty drink cans, dry batteries, and disposable lighters.
On July 18th, seven people participated and collected 0.9 kg of trash, including numerous cigarette butts, empty beverage cans, and plastic food packaging.
On August 22nd, nine people participated and collected 1.3 kg of trash, including numerous cigarette butts, empty beverage cans, masks, and plastic candy packaging.

December 25, 2024 Planting Cherry Blossom Trees
We planted cherry blossom trees at Niterra Spark Tech WKS Park (Kagoshima Prefectural Hokusatsu Regional Park), for which we are naming rights partners.
This was carried out as part of our environmental contribution activities, as young trees absorb more CO₂. We chose the cherry blossom trees so that in the future it will become a place of relaxation that the local community can enjoy. We plan to continue planting trees in the future.
November 01, 2023We Held a Social Gathering at an Elementary School in Satsuma Town
Nittoku Spark Tech WKS Satsuma plant will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2024. As part of the commemorative event, we provided school lunches designed by our employees to elementary and junior high schools in Satsuma Town, and planned a social gathering with students. The first event was held on November 10th.
On the day of the event, Satsuma plant employees visited the elementary school and introduced the company to 86 sixth grade students, which also served as career education, and they enjoyed working up a sweat together in a tag rugby class. At the school lunch, the students also tasted curry and naan, which are Indian dishes where our group company is located.

We have concluded a naming rights agreement for the Hokusatsu Prefectural Park in Satsuma Town, Kagoshima Prefecture, where our factory is located. The nickname is "Niterra Nittoku Spark Tech WKS Park". Through naming rights, we will contribute to regional revitalization.
May 16, 2026 Participation in the Tenryu River System Environmental Picnic!
We participated in the "Tenryu River System Environmental Picnic," a cleanup event aimed at beautifying the environment of the Tenryu River and its tributaries.
This event was organized by the Ina Center of the Nagano Prefectural Industrial Promotion Organization, and this time, 2,765 people from approximately 85 organizations participated. Sixteen people from NTK Ceramics participated, collecting empty cans, plastic waste, and other debris along the Tenryu River.
Through this activity, we were able to reaffirm the importance of waste separation and realize the importance of protecting the beautiful natural environment of our region.

Eighteen representatives from each department participated in the cleanup, picking up litter around the plant and clearing fallen leaves from gutters, contributing to the beautification of the local environment. At the Iijima Plant, we cooperated with the Nagano Prefecture Red Cross Blood Center to call for blood donations, with 10 employees participating.

Twenty-one representatives from various departments at the Iijima Plant of NTK CERAMIC CO., LTD. conducted cleanup activities around the plant to express their gratitude to the local community. Divided into three groups, the participants worked diligently on activities such as picking up trash and weeding gutters. It was a meaningful time that raised awareness of environmental beautification. We will continue to contribute to the creation of a beautiful town.
September 03, 2025 Blood Donation Activities Implemented!
Blood donation activities were conducted at the Kani Plant, NTK CERAMIC CO., LTD. to help alleviate shortages of blood for transfusions, and 10 employees cooperated by donating 400 ml of blood. We will continue to cherish and promote this initiative, which has been ongoing since 2011, to further contribute to society.
May 24, 2025 We Participated in the "Tenryu River System Environmental Picnic"!
We participated in the "Tenryu River System Environmental Picnic," a cleanup event aimed at the environmental beautification of the Tenryu River and its tributaries.
This event was hosted by the Ina Center of the Nagano Industry Promotion Organization, with approximately 1,800 participants from about 75 organizations this time. From NTK CERAMIC CO., LTD., 16 members participated and collected empty cans, plastic waste, and other litter along the banks of the Tenryu River.
Through these activities, we were able to reaffirm the significance of waste separation and realize the importance of protecting the beautiful natural environment of the local community.

On March 21, 20 employees participated in a cleanup activity around the factory. We split into three groups and collected one large garbage bag's worth of trash. Participating in the cleanup activity was not only a way to contribute to the local community, but also a good opportunity to raise employees' environmental awareness.
May 20, 2023 Participated in the 27th Tenryu River System Environmental Picnic
We participated in an event to clean up the Tenryu River and its tributaries, and contributed to the beautification of the environment of the Tenryu River while thinking about the significance and importance of garbage separation. This event is hosted by the Nagano Industrial Promotion Organization Ina Center and is held once a year. A total of 95 organizations and approximately 4,000 people participated in the event, including 21 employees from our company. On the day of the event, we contributed to the beautification of the environment by cleaning up the banks of the Tenryu River and collecting waste plastic, combustible garbage, metals, glass, and other materials.

Since 2021, we have been conducting cleanup activities mainly around the Komaki Factory and the sidewalks and gutters in the neighboring areas. This cleanup activity is carried out once a month jointly by Niterra Co., Ltd. and group companies CERAMIC SENSOR and NITTOKU ALPHA SERVICE in order to contribute to the local community.
On April 15, six people participated and collected cigarette butts, cardboard boxes, empty cans, candy wrappers, etc. Many cigarette butts were discarded along the road and on the sidewalk.
On May 20, six people participated and collected empty cans, plastic bottles, gloves, masks, tissue paper, etc. Many cigarette butts were discarded on the sidewalk.
On June 17, five people participated and collected many cigarette butts in addition to paper scraps and plastic garbage. Plastic bottles and empty cans were also discarded.
On July 15th, five people participated, and in the light rain, they collected empty drink cans, plastic bottles, cigarette butts, etc. from the side of the sidewalk.
On August 26th, five people participated, and in the strong sunlight, they efficiently collected cigarette butts, plastic bottles, empty cans, tissues, etc. Half-empty cans of juice were also discarded, so the collection work involved sorting.
On September 16th, five people participated, and in the harsh sunlight of the lingering summer heat, they collected a lot of cigarette butts, tissues, and other items. Although we clean up every month, there is still cigarette butts and other household waste, and we strongly felt the need for continuous cleaning activities.
On October 21st, five people participated, and in the sunshine but a little chilly, they collected a large number of cigarette butts and papers scattered on the sidewalk. Due to the rain the day before, the collected items had absorbed moisture and become heavier. There was also an increasing trend in the disposal of empty cans.
On November 18th, five people participated, collecting many cigarette butts discarded on the sidewalk, as well as empty cans, plastic bottles, gloves, masks, and tissue paper.
On December 16th, four people participated, collecting many cigarette butts discarded on the sidewalk and plastic containers in the drains.
On January 20th, five people participated. In a relatively warm climate, without the bitter cold, they collected many cigarette butts, beverage bottles, plastic bottles, and other household waste.
On February 17th, five people participated, collecting empty cans, cigarette butts, and a large amount of waste that had been discarded along the Hazaka River, which flows across Niterra Co., Ltd., where the company is located.
On March 17th, four people participated. In the cold northwest winds that blew due to a return of the cold, they collected cigarette butts, empty boxes, and other items.

We are selected as a naming rights partner company for a pedestrian bridge near our Komaki plant (Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture). The nickname of the pedestrian bridge is "NTK CERATEC Iwasaki Pedestrian Bridge Enjoying Creation and Challenge" by arranging the corporate slogan "Enjoy creativity and challenges with ceramics".
September 02, 2023 Participation in “Spo-GOMI“
Three of our employees participated in “Spo-GOMI” held at Lake Hamana in the neighboring prefecture. Twenty-four teams participated in the event and collected 171 kg of trash. The employees' team came in 22nd place, but the team alone collected 1.81 kg of trash.

We visited the Fangsong Police Station in Songjiang District, Shanghai, alongside representatives from the industrial park and neighboring companies, to express our gratitude for their efforts in ensuring local safety.

Five employee representatives cleaned up the area, collecting two bags of cigarette butts and other trash, and through interacting with local residents, they renewed their commitment to environmental protection. November 15, 2024 Comfort visit to Songjiang Welfare Institute
Our employees and the labor union visited the Songjiang Welfare Institute and interacted with children with autism spectrum disorder. They observed the children's recovery training and had a meaningful time communicating with the people at the facility. In addition, we presented the children with specialized educational materials and books in the hope that they would grow. The purpose of this visit is to support children with autism spectrum disorder to grow happily, acquire skills, and adapt to society in the future.

January 03, 2025 Supporting Charities and Orphanages
In order to contribute to the local community and support children, our management and employees visited “One Hope Charity & Welfare”, a charity organization in Penang, and “Rumah Charis”, an orphanage in Kuala Lumpur, to conduct support activities. One Hope Charity & Welfare is a non-profit charitable organization that provides a wide range of social welfare activities, including emergency disaster relief, medical care, and educational support. In addition to making donations to both organizations, we volunteered at Rumah Charis by changing bed sheets and serving lunch to children.
October 08, 2024 Blood Donation Activities
Since 2019, we have been conducting blood donation activities by employee volunteers with the aim of contributing to local medical care. 14 employees participated and donated blood in 2024. The blood collected will be used to help those in need of surgery and treatment through Sunway Medical Center. We plan to continue this initiative, in which employees work together to contribute to the local community.
August 15, 2024 Cleaning Activities and Maintenance of Road Markings
On August 15, we cleaned and beautified the streets, residential areas, and public parking lots around the company and maintained the parking lot lines. Through these activities, we contribute to the creation of a comfortable and safe environment for local residents.
November 16, 2023 Cleaning Activities Near the Plant
In order to contribute to the local community, a cleanup activity was held on November 16 along a residential street next to the plant. This activity has been conducted every year since 2013, with approximately 50 to 80 people participating each year. The volunteers not only clean up litter and fallen leaves along the roadsides and ditches, but also clean up the grass and grassy areas of elderly people who live alone. They also cut grass and branches for elderly people living alone.
July 12, 2023 Supporting Blood Drives
On July 12, we organized a blood drive together with the Blood Transfusion Unit of Severan Jaya Hospital, and 12 employee volunteers assisted in organizing the drive. We participated in “Onigiri Action” to deliver school lunches to children around the world. It was a wonderful day at a hotel in Dalat City, where we enjoyed making onigiri (rice balls) and painting on canvas bags while supporting children in need around the world.

We provided professional knowledge and skills seminars for students in the Automotive Engineering Technology Department at Van Lang University. In addition, scholarships were awarded to students who had achieved outstanding results in the previous year. The event was a great success with approximately 300 students in attendance.
September 15, 2024 Support for Disaster Victims
Employees prepared gift boxes to help victims of the flooding in the northern part of Vietnam. The gift boxes were delivered to school children in particular need of assistance.

We participated in a charity event organized by the Ho Chi Minh City District 7 Labor Union in Vietnam. On the day of the event, we set up a company booth and distributed fans to all visitors. Afterwards, all participants joined a walk, and the event was a great success.

We provided professional knowledge and skills seminars for automotive engineering technology students at Van Lang University. In addition, scholarships (POSM) were awarded to students who had achieved outstanding results in the previous year. All of the approximately 300 students who attended the seminar were very enthusiastic, and were very active in asking questions and sharing information related to their research.
October 01, 2023 Visit to the Orphan Center
Twenty-two employees visited the Red Cross Orphan Center in Da Nang to give gifts to the children. The visit was a combination of employee training and activities. The weather was fine and the employees enjoyed playing with the children.
June 01, 2023 Supporting Students in Technical Departments of Universities and Colleges
We supported a miniature car contest for students at an automotive engineering school. The model cars used Wi-Fi and 2-stroke spark plugs as key components, and we supported the students during the contest, providing grants and spark plugs. The contest was held outdoors, using the school grounds as a race track. About 500 students from many universities in southern Vietnam participated in the contest.
June 01, 2023 Participation in a Walking Event to Raise Funds for Charity
Employees participated in a walking event to raise funds to support workers and orphans in need of assistance due to the effects of the new coronavirus infection. Employees, along with participants from other companies, walked about 5 km in sunny and hot weather. The company also donated 2,000 fans.
August 13, 2024 Volunteer at an animal shelter
Seven employees volunteered at the RSPAC animal shelter, contributing to animal welfare and community outreach by cleaning up, walking dogs and goats, packing treats, sorting bedding, and tending to the garden.

Collection boxes were set up in the company to collect used towels and blankets from employees. The collected towels and blankets were donated to the RSPCA Burwood Shelter to be used as bedding for shelter animals. We set up a collection box in the company cafeteria and donated food and other items collected from employees to the Food Bank, the largest food relief charity in Australia. The food was delivered to those in need, and at the same time, the food waste problem was addressed.

Collection boxes were placed in the company cafeteria to collect sanitary products from employees and donated to those in need through “Share the Dignity,” a women's charity organization.The products are distributed to people experiencing difficulties such as homelessness and domestic violence.
July 04, 2023 Gifts of Solar Lights to the Children
About 30 employees assembled 50 solar lights and donated them to children. This is an initiative through Solar Buddy, an organization that supports children who do not have access to energy services necessary for their daily lives. With solar lights, children can study at night. The solar lights allow children to learn at night and save the fuel costs required for kerosene lamps (equivalent to 16 weeks of wages).

In honor of World Book Day, we donated picture books to support children's education. We set up a collection box in the company and called for a wide range of employees to donate books, and more than 40 picture books were collected. Forty-seven members of the Aftermarket team gathered to support children in need by handcrafted 24 teddy bears and 24 blankets, along with a book donation campaign. Through the shared goal of community contribution, we strengthened our team bond while delivering heartfelt gifts.

Five of our employees supported the operation of Hospitality House, a food bank located near our Michigan base. They assisted visitors with their shopping and learned about local grocery stores' efforts to reduce food waste and the importance of supporting food safety.

February 29, 2024Supporting the "Assistive Technology in Communication" project
We support the "Communication Support Technology" project, an activity that promotes learning and communication among people with disabilities in local communities where our company is located. This project is provided by the Association of Parents and Friends of Exceptional Individuals of Mogi das Cruzes (APAE) and targets 60 children and adolescents with disabilities, aged 6 to 13, who use communication technology (tablets) This is achieved through the use of images to facilitate everyday communication between children and young people with disabilities and their families. This activity took place twice a week for eight months, with each student participating in the program for 30 minutes once a week.

We donated sweets, toys, and other items as Christmas gifts to 215 children in need who live in facilities.

We sponsored the Festival, and also set up a booth and distributed novelty items to visitors.

Following on from last year, we sponsored the "Baseball Championship", an event aimed at practicing sports, and helped organize the event.
Approximately 400 athletes participated in the tournament, which was attended by approximately 6,000 spectators.
August 16, 2023 Donated Blankets to a Local Organization
We donated 2,000 blankets to a local organization.
The blankets are made from recycled company uniforms that employees no longer use. The blankets will be used to help vulnerable and homeless people.
July 23, 2023We supported the UNDOKAI
To promote sports and Japanese culture, we supported a UNDOKAI held at the Mogi das Cruzes Cultural and Sports Center Association. This UNDOKAI is a traditional Japanese competition "Sports Day" that provides a variety of recreational activities for children, adults, and the elderly.
The day was blessed with clear skies, and the event was a great success, with approximately 800 people from Mogi das Cruzes and neighboring cities participating.
July 09, 2023Sponsored the 26th Bunkyo Cherry Blossom Festival
In order to promote Japanese culture in Brazil, we participated in the Bunkyo Cherry Blossom Festival held at Bunkyo Kokushikan Park.
The day was blessed with clear skies and we welcomed approximately 30,000 visitors. The event was centered around exhibits of typical Japanese foods such as flowers, fruits, and vegetables, and a variety of art and culture shows, as well as an event where visitors could enjoy the rows of cherry blossom trees. In addition, panels with branding and business explanations were posted at the booth, and employees provided explanations to participants, answered questions, and handed out gifts.

March 26, 2022We opened the factory！
We held a factory tour for all employees and their families, and enjoyed a 45-minute factory tour, snacks in the cafeteria, and distribution of goods to children donated by employees.
